Baconfest!!

Almost 2 weekS has gone by since the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival in Des Moines. What a spectacle. What an exciting event to be a part of.

Being a part of the IPW family has brought me the chance to be INCLUDED IN some fantastic events. Big events such as the Hall of Fame show in Waterloo as well as Ragbrai. But no doubt Baconfest will be a great memory for years to come.

What a unique Iowa event for one. What better place to celebrate Bacon then here in the Heartland? 

When we arrived to the Hy Vee Hall in downtown Des Moines we weren't sure what to expect. As soon as we walked to the civic center the smell of Bacon was intoxicating. 

Wrestling three times in one afternoon can be challenging but being in front of a large crowd made it enjoyable. We were treated well by the organizers of the event and got to dress in the same room as the Bacon Queen. All us good guys were accompanied to the ring by a lovely ring girl.

If you get a chance to attend Bacon Fest I recommend you try it at least once. Even with all the booths, entertainment and wrestling going on there was no doubt who the star was. Bacon!!
